Whistler Pro 78se 34.7Ka 7/31/2009

Not so good off-axis performance in this instance. Detection range was about 0.7 mile. The pro 78se didn't see the radar until the road straightened out. The strange thing is that I got a good 1-2 miles of 34.7Ka band detection right around the same area with curves and all less than 8 hours earlier in stop and go traffic. Now, I wish I had that encounter on video for comparison.

Whistler XTR-690SE vs Beltronics RX65 - X-Band

Even though I don't live in New Jersey, which is about the only place left in the USA that still widely employs use of police radar on X-band (keep in mind that most states still have areas that use this band albeit scattered around) - I was curious all the same of how these two RD's match up on X. Since I do not have any police radar in my area that still uses X-band, I instead used a drugstore that has automatic doors on X-band, and the source was somewhat off-axis. No big surprises here really, as the results were what I expected them to be.

XTR 695 K band hunt

Hunting for ELPD's K band on a night drive. The video stops and restarts. I'm behind him on Hagadorn until I lose him when he parks at the corner gas station. I pick him up again and way beyond the corner with the 695, good times.

Detecting a CHP outside Lemoore, CA had about 2 mile range of notice. Was going off for about 30 seconds with random bleeps of Ka showing only with no RSID showing before I was able to start recording and about 10 seconds before the start of this video I got the reading of 34.7 to confirm CHP.
